O artigo discute os conceitos de identidade do sujeito pós-moderno e da superdiversidade, embasadas em leituras de Hall e Vertovec, e apresenta estudo informal sobre a constituição da identidade de uma jovem graduanda, falante de uma língua de herança. O estudo demostra que, como sujeito pós-moderno, a estudante possuí múltiplas identidades que estão relacionadas com os diversos contextos pelos quais transita. Além disso, explicita a força exercida pelas políticas linguísticas da década de 1930 sobre as identidades dos descentes de imigrantes
The article discusses the concepts of postmodern subject identity and superdiversity, based on readings of Hall and Vertovec, and presents an informal study on the constitution of the identity of a young graduate student, who speaks an heritance language. The study shows that, as a postmodern subject, the student has multiple identities that are related to the different contexts through which she transits. In addition, the article explains the force exerted by the language policies of the 1930s on the identities of the descendants of immigrants.
