This report describes some learning experiences derived from the construction of a portfolio in the course “Teaching Applied to Health” of the academic master’s degree program in Collective Health. The strategy of building a portfolio involves exchanging experiences relevant to the construction/constitution of being a professor. The focus of this report is to describe significant moments related to the pedagogical practices in daily classroom life. The first moment describes the experiences that occurred during the course; the second presents the vicissitudes of a conceptual map; the third details the peculiarities of planning and developing a lecture, and, following that, the experiences of using an integrated panel strategy. After this, the particularities of elaborating and executing a class and the role of the texts for learning are described. The construction of the portfolio allowed the student to get in touch with tools that stimulate investigation and capacity for synthesis, self-reflection and self-evaluation, leading them to a more significant learning.
