No processo que envolve a escrita da história dos grupos considerados, até pouco tempo, subalternos e com menos expressão cultural, percebe-se o silêncio sobre questões que envolvem as representações de gênero, raça/etnia e diversas outras categorias. Neste contexto particular, que privilegia a análise sobre questões de raça/etnia e gênero, é que se pretende investigar a presença dos afrodescendentes e, de forma mais aprofundada, da mulher negra. A pesquisa procura dar voz aos registros biográficos de afro-brasileiros, que permitiram melhor compreender os mecanismos que envolvem a lembrança e a memória sobre o passado do [desse?] grupo étnico na região do Vale do Paranhana.
Resumo Inglês:
In the process that involves the writing of the history of the groups until recently considered subaltern and with less cultural expression, there is a silence on issues involving representations of gender, race / ethnicity and several other categories. In this particular context, which privileges the analysis of issues of race / ethnicity and gender, we intend to investigate the presence of Afro-descendants and, more profoundly, of black women. The research seeks to give voice to the biographical records of Afro-Brazilians, which allowed a better understanding of the mechanisms that involve the memory and remembrance of that ethnic group’s past in the region of the Paranhana Valley.
