Neste artigo se discute a leitura, em ambiente digital, como um processo de investigação. A internet oferece um ambiente muito rico aos leitores e, por isso, exige deles uma navegação consciente, bem como uma boa seleção de informações pertinentes e confiáveis para o cumprimento dos objetivos de leitura. Sendo assim, pode-se dizer que a leitura na internet costuma ser uma atividade de investigação que envolve a formulação de perguntas e a investigação para a construção de saberes. Apresentam-se, aqui, algumas estratégias que podem contribuir para uma leitura bem-sucedida e que podem orientar, também, o trabalho dos professores que pretendem ajudar aos alunos no trabalho com textos na internet para aquisição de conhecimento.

In this paper we discuss reading in digital environments, as a research process. Internet offers us a very rich reading environment and therefore requires from the readers careful navigation as well as a good selection of relevant and reliable information for the fulfillment of their reading tasks. Therefore, we can say that reading on the internet is usually an inquiry process that involves raising questions and search for information to build knowledge. Here we present some strategies that can contribute to a successful reading, and that might also guide the teachers who intend to help their students to deal with texts on the internet to acquire knowledge.
