The constant, and sometimes conflicting, intersection between history and memory, has led to the constructions of an institutionalized collective memory that reproduce an official speech associated to the memory of the male subject and his experience in the Colombian armed conflict, generalizing the male experience as the one that corresponds to both genders and leaving aside the experiences of women who were involved in the conflict, either with their participation in armed groups or as victims of the internal war between the State and those groups. In this sense the importance of making visible those “weak” memories that corresponds to the memory woven from the women on the internal confrontation that the country has been experiencing for several decades is clear, allowing the construction of a collective memory much more plural and representative of the Colombian reality.
Resumo Espanhol:
El entrecruzamiento constante, y en algunas ocasiones conflictivo, entre historia y memoria, ha dado lugar a la construcción de una memoria colectiva institucionalizada que reproduce un discurso oficial vinculado a una memoria referida al sujeto masculino y su experiencia en el conflicto armado colombiano únicamente, haciendo una generalización de la experiencia de los varones como aquella correspondiente a ambos géneros y dejando de lado las vivencias de las mujeres que estuvieron implicadas en el conflicto, bien sea con su participación dentro de grupos armados o como víctimas de la guerra interna entre el Estado y dichos grupos. En este sentido, es clara la importancia de visibilizar aquellas memorias “débiles” correspondientes a la memoria tejida desde las mujeres sobre la confrontación interna que vive el país desde hace varias décadas, permitiendo la construcción de una memoria colectiva mucho más plural y representativa de la realidad colombiana.
