A presente pesquisa teve como problema saber qual a perspectiva que as crianças possuem em relação às concepções de ciência e pesquisa. Para tanto organizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva e qualitativa em uma escola particular do município de Novo Hamburgo – RS. Para isso foram utilizados como ferramenta de investigação desenhos, registros gráficos e diálogos das crianças da faixa etária dos 5 aos 6 anos. Buscou-se compreender o olhar destas crianças em relação aos temas ciência e gênero, visando a compreender as representações do pensamento infantil em relação à ciência e a quem faz ciência. Autores como Rosset (2017), e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular e o Referencial Curricular Gaúcho: Educação Infantil entre outros autores foram utilizados como referência nesta pesquisa. Ao final novos olhares e reflexões a respeito do tema foram emergindo, buscando compreender o potencial infantil e seu protagonismo perante a ciência e a pesquisa, assim como buscar novas alternativas como docentes para potencializar as crianças na busca de respostas às suas curiosidades e também no processo científico.

The present research project is focused on the problem to know what the perspective that the children have in relation to the conceptions of science and research. To address this issue, a descriptive and qualitative research was organized in a private school in the city of Novo Hamburgo - RS. It was used as an investigation tools, instrument drawings, graphic records and dialogs of the speech of children aged 5 to 6 years old. Reflections were sought to understand the views of these children in relation to the themes of gender and science and gender, were also sought, aiming to understand the representations a better understanding of children's thinking in relation to science and those who do science. Authors such as Rosset (2017), and the National Common Curricular Base and the Gaucho Curriculum Reference: Early Childhood Education among other authors were used as references in this research. According to that, new perspectives and reflections on the theme emerged, seeking to understand and believe in the potential of children and their role in science and research, as well as seeking new ones as teachers for alternatives as teachers to empower children in the search process for answers to their curiosities and also in the scientific process.
