Com o crescimento e desenvolvimento das cidades, torna-se necessário uma rede que consiga disponibilizar internet a todos os dispositivos que estejam em seu alcance e sem perda de qualidade. Sistemas e instrumentos que antes eram simples como postes e semáforos, hoje podem ser melhorados e assim ganhar comunicação entre si e outros dispositivos. Essa demanda e evolução trouxeram a necessidade de uma rede de conexão que permite aos dispositivos se comunicarem com baixa latência, alta transferência e sem a perda de sinal. Conforme o aumento dos números de dispositivos, a rede 5G espera suprir essa necessidade de crescimento das grandes metrópoles e dispositivos. Este trabalho será realizado mostrando os usos da internet 5G visando transformar as cidades em regiões inteligentes, utilizando a internet dos devidos meios. A fim de alcançar os usos possíveis na união dessas três tecnologias, foram feitos estudos junto aos artigos e livros das áreas, elaborando-se pontos nos quais possam ser unidas a pesquisa do uso do 5G junto a internet das coisas para melhorar o funcionamento da cidade como um todo. Com o resultado esperado que a chegada do 5G irá trazer, qualquer dispositivo que tenha sua bateria limitada e precise permanecer online, tais como celulares, dispositivos autônomos ou dispositivos de uso público como semáforos, orelhões e postes, sofrerão mudanças, pois a integração da internet junto a 5G permitirá a esses dispositivos tornarem-se ainda mais conectados e inteligentes. A união dessas tecnologias irá mudar a forma como é aplicada o conceito de cidades inteligentes.
As cities grow and develop, a network that can provide internet access to all devices within its reach without losing quality becomes necessary. Systems and instruments that were once simple, such as streetlights and traffic lights, can now be improved and thus gain communication between themselves and other devices. This demand and evolution has brought about the need for a connection network that allows devices to communicate with low latency, high transfer and without signal loss. As the number of devices increases, the 5G network hopes to meet this growing need for large metropolises and devices. This work will show the uses of 5G internet with the aim of transforming cities into smart regions, using the internet in the appropriate ways. In order to reach the possible uses in the union of these three technologies, studies were carried out with articles and books in the areas, developing points in which research on the use of 5G together with the internet of things can be combined to improve the functioning of the city as a whole. With the expected result that the arrival of 5G will bring, any device that has a limited battery and needs to remain online, such as cell phones, autonomous devices or public use devices such as traffic lights, payphones and posts, will undergo changes, as the integration of the internet with 5G will allow these devices to become even more connected and intelligent. The union of these technologies will change the way the concept of smart cities is applied.
