Esta pesquisa objetivou analisar e descrever as percepções de servidores, mulheres e homens, de uma universidade federal da região sudeste brasileira, quanto a barreiras ao desenvolvimento da carreira feminina na instituição. Foi adotada pesquisa do tipo survey com análises quantitativas de dados que envolveram redes e testes de médias. Dentre os resultados, as mulheres que nunca exerceram cargo de gestão perceberam maior associação entre barreiras organizacionais e familiares. As mulheres com chefia imediata por mulher não associaram barreiras organizacionais com barreiras de gênero. As percepções quanto às barreiras na carreira feminina se diferenciaram de forma significativa entre mulheres e homens.
This research aimed to analyze and describe the perceptions of public servants, women and men, at a federal university in the southeastern region of Brazil, regarding barriers to development of women's careers within the institution. A survey was employed with quantitative analysis that included networks and average tests. The results indicated that women who had never held management positions perceived a stronger association between organizational and family-related barriers. Women who were under the immediate leadership of another woman did not link organizational barriers to gender-related barriers. Furthermore, there were significant differences in perceptions regarding career barriers between women and men.
