INTRODUÇÃO HISTÓRICA DA LÍNGUA DE SINAIS KAAPOS

O presente artigo aborda uma das principais comunidades indígenas da região do Maranhão, denominada Urubu-Ka’apor, bem como faz um relato do processo histórico e da pacificação deste povo. Será feita uma abordagem sobre a cultura, a língua de sinais utilizada, e o método de interação comunicativa com os indivíduos surdos que foram infectados pela “bouba neonatal”. Deve-se observar que a importância da linguagem utilizada e a interação entre os membros dessa comunidade estão de acordo com as políticas voltadas para o conhecimento e difusão da sua cultura no convívio coletivo. Neste estudo foram utilizadas análises bibliográficas através de uma abordagem objetiva do tema proposto, considerando os conceitos e as diferenciações linguísticas da comunidade citada.

Ka’apor, as well as making a report of the historical process and the pacification of this people. An approach will be carried out dealing with their culture, their utilized sign language, and the method of communicative interaction among their deaf people who were infected by the neonatal Yaws. The importance of the language and interaction used by their members of this community must be noticed because it is accordance with the policy linked to the knowledge and spreading of the collective living. The study used bibliographical analyses through an objective approach considering their concepts and linguistica differentiations of the cited community
