Variação e Tradição: uma análise do Tu e Você na posição de sujeito em cartas de pernambucanos (1860-1989)

A presente pesquisa pretende analisar a variação das formas de tratamento Tu e Você em 189 cartas de pernambucanos dos seguintes subgêneros: amor, amigo e família, compreendidas nos séculos XIX e XX (1860-1989). Para tal, apoia-se na perspectiva da linguística sócio-histórica do Português brasileiro e nas Tradições Discursivas (KOCH; OESTERREICHER, 2006). Nesse sentido, através da variação no emprego de Tu e Você e de marcas de TD presentes na composicionalidade das cartas pessoais de missivistas ilustres e não-ilustres, investigase o comportamento pronominal das formas de tratamento do paradigma de 2ª pessoa na posição nominativa considerando as ocorrências de variação e de tradição na natureza das correspondências. A pesquisa aporta-se na perspectiva teórico-metodológica quantitativa (LABOV, 1972 [2008]) para a análise dos dados de Pernambuco (PE) e na qualitativa para averiguar os fatores sociopragmáticos (CONDE SILVESTRE, 2007; BROWN; GILMAN, 1960) que motivam a variação. Para isso, consideraram-se na análise os seguintes contextos na posição de sujeito: I. Tuexclusivo; II. Você-exclusivo; III. a variação (Tu~Você). Diante da análise dos dados, verificaram-se: a) o emprego pronominal que remete às TD na composição das cartas pessoais; b) o uso predominante das formas Tu ou Você exclusivos em cartas de escreventes ilustres sobretudo entre as décadas de 1880 a 1930, e c) a variação Tu~Você foi mais produtiva em cartas da segunda metade do século XX, principalmente, em missivas de escreventes em relação simétrica.

The current research intends to analyze the variation of the forms of treatment Tu and Você in 189 letters which belong to native people from the State of Pernambuco in the following subgenres: love, friendship and family, which were written in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries (1860-1989). For this, it is based on the perspective of the socio-historical linguistics of Brazilian Portuguese and Discursive Traditions (KOCH; OESTERREICHER, 2006). Therefore, through the variation in the use of Tu and Você and also through DT marks existents in the composition of these personal letters of illustrious and non-illustrious writers, it is investigated the pronominal behavior of the forms of treatment of the 2nd person paradigm in the nominative position, considering the occurrences of variation and tradition in the nature of each correspondence. The research is carried out in the quantitative theoretical-methodological perspective (LABOV, 1972 [2008]) for the analysis of Pernambuco (PE) data and the qualitative one to ascertain the socio-pragmatic factors (CONDE SILVESTRE, 2007; BROWN; GILMAN, 1960), that motivate the variation. For this, the following contexts in the subject position were considered in the analysis: I. Exclusive-Tu; II. Exclusive-Você; III.variation (Tu ~Você). Before analyzing the data, it was verified: a) the pronominal use that refers to DT in the composition of personal letters; b) the predominant use of Exclusive-Tu or Você (You) forms in letters of illustrious writers, especially between the 1880s and 1930s; c) the variationTu~Você were more productive in letters from the second half of the twentieth century, especially in scribes’ missives in symmetrical relationship.
