Resumos Cadastrados

This article describes part of a study contemplating the Pythagorean Theorem conducted with

a group of eight teachers and utilizing the GeoGebra software as a technological resource. It is

an excerpt from a master's thesis presented at a Postgraduate Progr

am in Exact Sciences

Teaching. During the face

-

to

-

face meetings, the teachers built dynamics objects (Digital

Learning Objects

-

DLO) to investigate the validity of the Pythagorean Theorem,

using the

GeoGebra software.

The constructed objects were intended

to verify the veracity of the referred

theorem,

in case the squares were built on the sides of the triangles were replaced by other

geometric figures.

The data was collected using a field diary of one of the researchers and

printed investigation forms.

Th

e results show that the teachers willingly built a new meaning

for the Pythagorean theorem and showed that the use of GeoGebra software was productive in

the investigation. In addition, they began to feel confident in the use of the technological

resource.

Finally, it is understood that continuing teaches training is necessary, as the teacher

has a political role, through which he must fight for a better education.
