O presente artigo, a partir da película As sufragistas, busca observar a mulher dentro do Direito Penal, analisando-se aspectos das codificações penais pretéritas como a sua proteção e qual ou quais mulheres eram protegidas. Na sequência, busca-se compreender se o sistema punitivo é o local adequado de emancipação da mulher.
This article, based on the film Suffragettes, seeks to observe women within the Criminal Law, analyzing aspects of past criminal codifications such as their protection and which women were protected. In sequence, it is tried to understand if the punitive system is the appropriate place of emancipation of the woman.
