O tema aqui apresentado trata da relação entre museus e sociedade, contemplando questões teóricas e práticas relacionadas à Sociomuseologia. Contém ideias, pensamentos e reflexões que embasaram a Tese de Doutorado intitulada Musealização do Patrimônio Construído: Inclusão Social, Identidade e Cidadania. Museu Vivo da Memória Candanga, defendida na Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. No cerne está o conceito da Sociomuseologia, que pensa o museu como possível agente de transformação social. Daí a importância do caminho percorrido pelo objeto que é exposto no museu, desde sua escolha, até sua comunicação. The theme presented here deals with the relationship between museums and society, covering theoretical issues and practices related to Sociomuseologia. It contains ideas, thoughts and reflections that supported the Doctoral Thesis entitled Musealization the Built Heritage: Social Inclusion, Identity and Citizenry. Living Museum of Memory Candanga defended in Lusophone University of Humanities and Technology. At the core is the concept of Sociomuseologia, which sees the museum as a possible agent of social transformation. That is the importance of the path traveled by the object that is exposed at the museum from its choice until your communication. This process seeks to involve the community so that it is recognized participant in the process and invited to reflect on issues relevant to their community.
