Na perspectiva da História das Ideias LinguÃsticas no Brasil, propomos analisar como se dá a inscrição do campo disciplinar Semântica na gramática brasileira após a instalação da NGB (1959), observando como o estatuto que lhe é dispensado na gramática, no processo de sua institucionalização, vai sendo construÃdo, significado e re-significado no imaginário dos sujeitos que manuseiam a gramática. Na Moderna Gramática Portuguesa (1961), de Evanildo Bechara, objeto de nossa investigação, mostramos que o autor, contrariando as recomendações da NGB, introduz, nos espaços livres deixados pela incompletude do modelo oficial, a disciplina Semântica, ao lado da Fonética, Morfologia e Sintaxe.
From the perspective of the History of Linguistic Ideas in Brazil, we propose to analyze how the inscription of the disciplinary field of Semantics happens in Brazilian grammar after the installation of the NGB (1959), observing in the process of its institutional introduction how the statute that it receives in grammar is progressively constructed, signified and re-signified in the imagination of those handling it. In the Modern Portuguese Grammar (1961) of Evanildo Bechara, the object of our investigation, we show that the author, contradicting the recommendations of the NGB, introduces into spaces left by the incompleteness of the official model, the discipline of Semantics along with Phonetics, Morphology and Syntax.
