In this work, we investigate the potential difficulties faced by blind students to solve the biology questions of ENEM (INEP) containing figures in their structure and the possibilities of adapting these figures for these students. Based on documentary analysis, it was found that figures are present in most of the biology questions of the ENEM’s tests. These questions were analyzed by collaborating teachers, from different areas of biological knowledge, through a questionnaire, and it was found that the figures, for the most part, have an essential role in understanding and solving the questions. We propose two methods for the adaptation of figures in relief to be used in class and tests. The test of the adapted figures was conducted qualitatively by visually impaired professionals, teachers working with visually impaired and a blind student. The results show that the developed material is viable and can be improved seeking future applications.
