O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as concepções do professor de Ciências e dos(as) alunos(as) do 7º e 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma instituição pública paraense sobre a temática da Educação para as Relações Étnico-Raciais, com os objetivos específicos: identificar as concepções do professor de Ciências sobre a temática das Relações Étnico-Raciais na Escola Básica; apresentar as concepções dos estudantes do 7º e 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental sobre casos de racismo, preconceito e discriminação na escola. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo e metodologicamente foi realizado uma entrevista com o professor de Ciências dos anos finais da escola e uma roda de conversa com os alunos(as) 7º e 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Percebeu-se que o docente entrevistado(a) não tem conhecimento sobre a Lei n. 10.639/2003 e que a instituição não desenvolve projetos pedagógicos no trato a temática da diversidade étnico-racial.
The present work aims to analyze the conceptions of the Science teacher and students in the 7th and 8th year of Elementary School at a public institution in Pará on the topic of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations, with specific objectives: identifying the Science teacher's conceptions on the topic of Ethnic-Racial Relations in Elementary School; present the conceptions of students in the 7th and 8th year of Elementary School about cases of racism, prejudice and discrimination at school, as well as the actions proposed by the institution and develop an educational product that corroborates the discussion and treatment of the theme of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations in Primary Schools. As a methodology, the research is qualitative. An interview was carried out with the Science teacher from the final years of the school and a conversation was held with the 7th and 8th year students of Elementary School.It was noticed that the teacher interviewed has no knowledge of Law no. 10.639/2003 and that the institution does not develop pedagogical projects for students, in addition to the fact that many students have already witnessed and experienced racism at school.
