Este estudo objetiva desenvolver uma reflexão crítica acerca da prática de ensino de língua materna a partir dos pressupostos teóricos da Sociolinguística Educacional. Para tanto, abordam-se, a princípio, pontos essenciais como as noções de língua e linguagem, a importância da teoria Sociolinguística, as relações entre língua e cultura, os diferentes desdobramentos do português falado no Brasil, entre outros. Por fim, busca-se observar o espaço da oralidade na sala de aula, considerando o contexto atual da educação brasileira, evidenciando qual o papel do professor e da escola frente às variações linguísticas.
Resumo Inglês:
This study aims to develop a critical reflection about the practice of teaching a native language from the theoretical assumptions of Educational Sociolinguistics. Therefore, it is necessary to address, in principle, essential points such as the notions of language, the importance of Sociolinguistic theory, the relations between language and culture, the different varieties of spoken Portuguese in Brazil, among others. Finally, it is sought to observe the space of the orality in the classroom, considering the actual context of Brazilian education, highlighting the role of the teacher and the school in face of linguistic variations.
