PRODUÇÃO DA MANGABEIRA (Hancornia speciosa GOMES) IRRIGADA E ADUBADA NAS CONDIÇÕES DO ESTADO DE GOIÁS

A mangabeira (Hancornia speciosa Gomes) é uma espécie com grande potencial frutífero e
apresenta um comportamento produtivo que indica ser uma das espécies frutíferas do cerrado com maiores chances
de ser trabalhada, visando sua domesticação e incorporação ao sistema produtivo. Dentro desta ótica, este trabalho se
propôs estudar a influência da irrigação e da época de início desta, bem como o efeito da adubação sobre a produção
da mangabeira em Goiás. O trabalho foi desenvolvido na coleção ex situ (arboreto) da Escola de Agronomia e
Engenharia de Alimentos da Universidade Federal de Goiás, no município de Goiânia, Goiás. As dezesseis mangabeiras
avaliadas pertencem à subespécie Hancornia speciosa Gomes var. gardneri (A.DC). As plantas foram submetidas a
quatro tratamentos: I0, sem irrigação (testemunha); IF, irrigadas a partir do florescimento; IT, irrigadas durante todo
ano, quando necessário; e ITA, irrigadas da mesma forma que as IT, mais correção do solo e adubação. A irrigação foi
realizada por microaspersão, sendo dois emissores por planta. Ocorreram duas adubações de cobertura, em 2003 e
2004, divididas em duas parcelas. Apesar da produção não ter apresentado diferença significativa entre os tratamentos,
o tratamento ITA produziu, aproximadamente, 2,8 vezes mais em relação à testemunha (I0). A mangabeira respondeu
aos tratos culturais, com maior produção de frutos por planta, em média, quando comparados aos das plantas em
ambiente natural no cerrado.

The mangabeira (Hancornia speciosa Gomes) is a species with great fruitful potential and
presents a productive behavior that it indicates to be one of the fruitful species of the open pasture with bigger
possibilities of being worked, aiming at its complete domestication and definitive incorporation to the productive
system. Inside of this optics, in this work if it considered to study the influence of the irrigation and the time of
beginning of this, as well as the effect of the fertilization on the production of the mangabeira in Goiás. The work was
developed in the former collection situ (arboreto) of the School of Agronomy and Food Engineering of the Federal
University of Goiás, located in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. The sixteen evaluated mangabeiras belong to the subspecies
Hancornia speciosa Gomes var. gardneri (A.DC). The plants had been submitted the four treatments: I0, without
irrigation (witness); IF, irrigated from the bloom; IT, irrigated during all year, when necessary; and ITA, irrigated in
the same way that the IT, more correction of the soil and fertilization. The irrigation was carried through by
microaspersion, having been two senders for plant. Two fertilizations of covering had occurred, in 2003 and 2004,
divided in two parcels. Despite the production not having presented significant difference between the treatments,
treatment ITA produced, approximately, 2,8 times more in relation to the witness (I0). The mangabeira answered to
the cultural treatments, with bigger production of fruits for plant, in average, when compared with the ones of the
plants in natural environment in the open pasture.
