Este trabalho pretende analisar, a partir de algumas manifestações culturais que se concretizam no Porto Maravilha, a gradual afirmação de um processo de identificação cultural dos sujeitos atores que se materializa na região. A análise conjugou as teorias que tratam de cidade, imaginário e identidade cultural para identificar como os espaços urbanos no porto são (re)apropriados e reconfigurados pelas representações culturais e sensíveis dos atores que nele operam. Observa-se, assim, o compartilhamento dos espaços entre diferentes sujeitos que reinventam simbolicamente a região e fundam um novo éthos, a despeito das intâncias de poder que atuam com o objetivo de homogeneizar o imaginário e inserir uma lógica simbólica de consumo na região.

This work intends to analyze, from some cultural manifestations in Porto Maravilha, the gradual affirmation of a process of cultural identification of the social actors in the region. The analysis combined the theories that deal with city, imaginary and cultural identity to identify how the urban spaces in the port of Rio are reappropriated and reconfigured by the cultural and sensitive representations of the actors that operate in it. It is observed, therefore, the sharing of the spaces between different subjects that symbolically reinvent the region and construct a new ethos, in spite of the instances of power that act with the objective of homogenizing the imaginary and inserting a symbolic logic of consumption in the region.
