The present investigation had the purpose of understanding the biographical events that led women attending the X Parish tobecome socially empowered and to become Head of Home. Methodologically, the study adopted a qualitative approach, applying in-depth interviews with pre-established questions to 24 female heads of household attending the parish X in the province of San Luis. A biographical-narrative investigation was developed that allowed us to understand the ways in which the "Head of Households" managed to carry out an empowerment process that used not only the will of each woman to overcome and leave a toxic environment. vulnerable, but also of the support provided by parish X in the province of San Luis. The results achieved show that the empowerment processes presented by the women in the study are related to the lack of socio-family support, achieving the possibility of achieving autonomy and being based on adverse situations of life under contexts of social vulnerability. La presente investigación tiene el propósito de comprender los sucesos biográficos que llevaron a las mujeres que asisten a la Parroquia X a empoderarse socialmente y llegar a ser Jefas de Hogar. Metodológicamente el estudio adoptará un enfoque cualitativo, aplicando entrevistas en profundidad con preguntas preestablecidas. Como resultados esperados se cree que los procesos de empoderamientos que presentan las mujeres del estudio, tienen relación con la carencia de apoyo sociofamiliar, logrando a partir de situaciones adversas de la vida bajo contextos de vulnerabilidad social, la posibilidad de lograr autonomía y ser Jefa de Hogar por medio de la seguridad económica.
