Detém-se sobre o comentário feito por Martinho Lutero à Carta de São Paulo aos Romanos(1515) que se tornou o fundamento bíblico para a doutrina da justificação somente pela fé (Sola Fide). O texto tem como objetivo demonstrar seus antece-dentes históricos como a Igreja da época e a divisão política da Alemanha, pois a reforma pretendida por Lutero teve como escopo teológico fundamental esta reflexão exegética sobre o tema paulino da justificação, mas os acontecimentos anteriores demonstram que este não foi o único motivo.

The following article focuses on the commentary made for Martin Luther to the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans (1515) which became the biblical foundation for the doctrine of justification only by faith (Sola Fide). The text has as objective to present yours historical background as the Church of the epoch and the political division of Germany, because the Luther intended reformation had as the fundamental theological scope this exegetical reflection on the Pauline theme of justification, but previous events have shown that this was not the only reason.
