O BULLYING ESCOLAR NA PERSPECTIVA DO GÊNERO MASCULINO E FEMININO

A violência escolar é um problema presente na maioria das escolas, públicas ou privadas, uma
realidade que tem se tornado um grave problema social. Dentre as formas de violência que
atingem a escola, tem ganhado destaque o fenômeno bullying. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho
teve como objetivo geral identificar se existem diferenças entre a prática do bullying exercida por
meninos e meninas, sua intensidade e características. Para a coleta de dados, utilizamos um
questionário baseado no modelo estruturado pela instituição inglesa Kidscape, contendo questões
dissertativas e de múltipla escolha. Essa pesquisa foi realizada numa escola pública municipal,
localizada num bairro periférico da cidade de Presidente Prudente (SP). Participaram 52 alunos do
5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Os resultados apontaram que existem diferenças na prática do
bullying exercido por meninos e meninas. Eles são mais agressivos e fazem uso da força física, de
fácil identificação; já as meninas apresentam sutileza nas suas agressões, tornando difícil a
identificação da prática. Com relação aos efeitos e consequências nas vítimas, o estudo indicou
semelhança nos dois gêneros: após as agressões não querem mais ir à escola e demonstram
intenso desejo de revidarem a prática do bullying contra seus agressores.

The school violence is a problem that exists in most of the schools, whether public or private, a
reality that has become a serious social problem. Among various kinds of violence that reach the
school, the bullying phenomena have gained prominence. In that sense, this work had as the main
objective identify if exists differences between bullying practiced by boys and girls, its intensity
and characteristics. For the data gathering, we used a questionnaire, following the structured
model by the English institution Kidscape, containing essay and multiple choice questions. This
research was realized in a municipal school, located in a suburban district of Presidente Prudente
(SP) city, with 52 students of the 5th grade elementary school involved. The results show that there
are differences in bullying practiced by boys and girls. Boys are more aggressive and use physical
strength, being easy to identify; Girls aggression is more subtlety, being harder to identify the
practice. Concerning the effects and consequences on victims, the study indicates a similarity in
both genres: after the aggression, they didn't want to go to school anymore, showing the desire of
retaliate the bullying practice, against their aggressors.
