Dentre as contribuições que decorrem da Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semiótica de Raymond Duval, está a de que a aprendizagem da Matemática está associada à capacidade do aluno de transitar por diferentes registros. Ambientes de Modelagem Matemática, por sua vez, têm sido entendidas na literatura e em eventos da área da Educação Matemática como espaços que favorecem esse trânsito. Tomando a relação entre e a Modelagem e a Teoria dos Registros como região de inquérito, realizamos uma metapesquisa orientada pela interrogação: O que se mostra da relação entre a Modelagem Matemática e a Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semióticas, nos artigos publicados na Conferência Nacional sobre Modelagem na Educação Matemática? A interrogação foi estabelecida a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa, por meio da análise de conteúdo dos 483 publicados na Conferência de 2005 a 2017. Dezessete trabalhos se mostraram convergentes à nossa interrogação, os quais foram categorizados com o auxílio do software Atlas.ti e posteriormente analisados. Os resultados revelaram que as atividades de Modelagem parecem favorecer não só a mobilização de diferentes registros de representação como transformações entre eles, notadamente, a conversão do registro gráfico para o algébrico, deveras incomum no contexto escolar.

Among the contributions that arise from the theory of the records of semiotic representation of Raymond Duval, is that the learning of mathematics is associated with the student's ability to carry through different records. Mathematical modeling environments, in turn, have been understood in literature and events in the area of mathematical education as spaces that favor this traffic. Taking the relationship between and the modeling and the theory of the registers as a region of inquiry, we conducted a metaresearch oriented by interrogation: What shows the relationship between mathematical modeling and the theory of the records of semiotics, in Articles published at the National Conference on Modeling in mathematics education? The interrogation was established from a qualitative research approach, through the content analysis of the 483 published at the conference from 2005 to 2017. Seventeen works were converging on our interrogation, which were categorized with the aid of Atlas. TI software and subsequently analyzed. The results revealed that modeling activities seem to favor not only the mobilization of different representation records as transformations between them, notably, the conversion of the graphic record to the algebraic, rather unusual in the context School.
