This work has the general objective of imparting an experience of translating Spanish into Libras, a Brazilian sign language and reflecting on translation and its consequences. For years, history has revealed to us that translation always revolves around the grafocentric conception of the language, that is to say, translation was always, from its very beginning, strongly tied to written texts because that conception affirms that a language and a culture Have as their central characteristic writing. In addition, I think it is pertinent to the observation that the translation of signs was not recognized in the past by the fact that they did not present a written form of language and only presented the signaled. In the course of this work, I decided to take a brief tour of some relevant information about the translation, the interpreter of Libras “from yesterday to today” and then present some theoretical notes and translation strategies. Thus, before the above, take advantage of the systematized knowledge and add to the account of experience of translation of Spanish into the Libras, to then reflect on the translation and its possibilities, for example, the use of the Spanish linguistic pair / Libras. Already on this translation experience, this work has shown that it is necessary to take into account that to execute it a challenge is signed, but that when going through the appropriate strategies this happens to be possible. In conclusion, to conclude this work we will briefly present the main points discussed and leave our final considerations here.

Este trabajo tiene el objetivo general impartir una experiencia de traducción de español a la Libras, lengua brasileña de señas y reflexionar sobre la traducción y sus consecuencias. Durante años la historia nos ha revelado que la traducción siempre giro alrededor de la concepción grafocéntrica de la lengua, es decir, la traducción siempre estuvo, fuertemente, desde su principio, atado a los textos escritos porque esa concepción afrma que un lenguaje y una cultura tienen como característica central la escritura. Además, creo que tiene pertinencia la observación que la traducción de señas no era reconocido el pasado por el hecho de que no presentaban una modalidad escrita de lengua y solo presentaba la señalizada.
En el curso de este trabajo, decidí hacer un breve recorrido de algunos datos relevantes sobre la traducción, el traductor intérprete de Libras “de ayer a hoy” y después presentar algunos apuntes teóricos y estrategias de traducción. Así ante lo expuesto aprovechar los conocimientos sistematizados y sumar al relato de experiencia de traducción de español a la Libras, para de ahí entonces reflexionar sobre la traducción y sus posibilidades como, por ejemplo, la utilización del par lingüístico español/ Libras. Ya sobre esta experiencia de traducción, este trabajo ha puesto de manifesto que es necesario llevar en cuenta que para ejecutarla se frma un desafío, pero que al recorrer a las estrategias adecuadas esto pasa a ser posible. En defnitiva, para concluir este trabajo presentaremos, con brevedad, los principales puntos debatidos y dejaremos aquí nuestras consideraciones fnales.
