Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir sobre algumas questões concernentes à tradução dialetal. Para iniciar essa discussão, apresento a visão estruturalista, passando a me ater à vertente pós-estruturalista da tradução, especialmente no que diz respeito a seu viés polÃtico, relacionado à presença de linguagem não-padrão na literatura traduzida e ao papel que as editoras exercem no momento de autorizar o uso de dialeto nos textos escritos.

This paper aims to reflect on some theoretical concepts concerning dialectal translation. First of all, I present the structuralism view, attaining myself to the post-structuralism chain in translation studies, especially concerned to the political aspect which is related to the non-standard language presence in the translated literature as well as to the role of the publishing houses on authorizing the use of dialects in written texts.
