The origin of the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa is related to the events that occurred within South African universities, especially the situation of black students. Situation that is perfectly articulated with the segregationist structures deepened by the apartheid regime in South Africa since 1948. In this sense, certain questions are formulated that come to light in the investigative process, mainly about that relationship that favored the origin of the notorious movement. To try to respond to this phenomenon, proposed variables and an analytical and historical-logical methodology were handled, the intention of which is to demonstrate the impact of the evolution of Bantu education and the importation into the educational sector of the segregationist proposals that created very unequal conditions for the advancement of students, based on their ethno-racial origin, as part of the Bantustanization strategy of apartheid. In this direction, a group of students was formed, who by the sixties had been born or raised with apartheid and who were doubly segregated inside and outside the University, but also influenced by the African decolonization process, the repression of the regime in the sixties and the social movements that took place internationally. To conclude that all those external and internal, structural and circumstantial conditions led to the birth of the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa, with a relatively new ideological platform in the South African scene of struggle.

El origen del Movimiento de la Conciencia Negra en Sudáfrica está relacionado con los acontecimientos ocurridos al interior de las universidades sudafricanas, especialmente la situación del estudiantado negro. Situación que se articula perfectamente con las estructuras segregacionistas profundizadas por el régimen del apartheid en Sudáfrica a partir de 1948. En ese sentido se formulan determinadas interrogantes que salen a la luz en el proceso investigativo principalmente sobre esa relación que favoreció el origen del connotado movimiento. Para tratar de dar respuesta a ese fenómeno se manejaron variables propuestas y una metodología analítica e histórica-lógica, cuya intención es demostrar el impacto de la evolución de la educación bantú y la importación al sector educacional de las propuestas segregacionistas que crearon condiciones muy desiguales para el avance de los estudiantes, en función de su origen etno-racial, como parte de la estrategia de bantustanización del apartheid. En esa dirección se formaron un grupo de estudiantes, que para los años sesenta había nacido o crecido con el apartheid y que se encontraban doblemente segregados dentro y fuera de la Universidad, pero también influenciados por el proceso de descolonización africano, la represión del régimen en los años sesenta y los movimientos sociales que tuvieron lugar a nivel internacional. Para concluir que todas aquellas condiciones externas e internas, estructurales y circunstanciales condujeron al nacimiento del Movimiento de la Conciencia Negra en Sudáfrica, con una relativamente novedosa plataforma ideológica en el escenario de lucha sudafricano.
