O artigo tem por objetivo analisar as representações sociais de policiais federais no que se refere à investigação e à persecução penal da corrupção e dos delitos econômicos, mais especificamente no que diz respeito à atuação da Polícia Federal, com ênfase no trabalho das delegacias especializadas em crimes fazendários e financeiros. A análise fundamenta-se no material de campo em pesquisa realizada entre 2014 e 2015, nos estados de São Paulo, Pernambuco, Paraná e no Distrito Federal. Neste texto apresentamos e discutimos parte dos dados obtidos em grupos focais e entrevistas em cada um dos estados referidos, com Delegados, Peritos e Agentes que atuam ou já atuaram nas unidades dedicadas ao foco da pesquisa.
The article intends to analyze the social representations of federal police officers concerning the investigation and the prosecution of corruption and economic crimes, specially focused on the performance of the Federal Police, emphasizing the work of the police department units specialized on financial and tax crimes. Our analysis is based on the fieldwork research conducted between 2014 and 2015, in the States of São Paulo, Pernambuco, Paraná and the Distrito Federal. In this text, we discuss part of our data obtained in focused groups and in-depth interviews in each of the referred states, with police officers, chief police officers and experts who work or had previous experience on the units of our research.
