Um dos setores do agronegócio Brasileiro que mais se desenvolveu na última década foi o setor de produção de plantas ornamentais. Porém, seu desenvolvimento ocorreu de forma desigual nos diversos estados Brasileiros. Através de pesquisa bibliográfica, análise documental e entrevista aos dirigentes de instituições públicas, analisou-se a influência das instituições no desenvolvimento do setor produtivo de plantas ornamentais no Estado do Paraná. As instituições atuantes no Estado do Paraná apresentaram limitações orçamentárias, deficit de pessoal, inexistência de políticas específicas para o setor, carência de assistência técnica especializada, descontinuidade da pesquisa e um trabalho generalista, influenciando negativamente o desenvolvimento do setor produtivo de plantas ornamentais
Resumo Inglês:
One of the sectors of agribusiness that has developed over the past decade was the production of ornamental plants sector. However, its development has occurred unevenly in different states. Through bibliographical research, document analysis and interview the leaders of public institutions, examined the influence of institutions on the development of the productive sector of ornamental plants in the state of Paraná. Institutions operating in the State of Paraná presented budget constraints, staff deficit, lack of specific policies for the sector, lack of specialized technical assistance, research discontinuity and a generalist work, negatively influencing the development of the productive sector of ornamental plants.
