Considerando as teias de complexidades entorno dos debates a respeito da diversidade cultural, o artigo objetiva discutir a correspondência de representação da Infância através do Cinema tendo em vista a imagética social da criança veiculada diariamente nas telonas de todo mundo. No decorrer da argumentação, citaremos algumas películas cinematográficas analisadas levando em conta a pluralidade dos arquétipos e estereótipos identitários da vida pueril moderna: criança-de-rua, criança-órfã, criança-brincante, criança-problema, criança-inocente, criança-vítima, criança-sucesso, criança-paranormal, criança-escola, criança-abandonada, criançaternura, criança-herói, criança-adulta, entre outras questões-desafios que põem a pensar tanto os educadores quanto os demais setores da sociedade sobre a representação da infância e, também, a perda da inocência, seguida pela busca de seu “modelo ideal”.

Considering the web of complexities surrounding the debates on cultural diversity about childhood, the article aims to discuss the correspondence of representation of childhood through the Cinema with a view to the child's imagery conveyed on the big screen for everyone. During the argument, many films will be analysed taking into account the variety of archetypes and stereotypes of identity of childish life: street child, orphaned child, playful child, problem child, innocent child, victim child, success child, paranormal child, school child, abandoned child, affectionate child, hero child, adult child, among other things, challenges that puts to thinking educators and other sectors of society on the representation of the invention of childhood, also, the loss of innocence, followed by searching for their “ideal model”.
