O artigo aborda a problemática atual acerca de um tema pouco discutido no meio acadêmico. Diante da realidade da relação dos homoafetivos com as religiões, busca-se, por meio desta pesquisa, analisar a relação entre homoafetividade e religião no contexto da diversidade cultural através da percepção dos homoafetivos. Este estudo objetiva buscar resposta à pergunta: Homoafetividade e religião: é possível conciliar? Demonstrar os principais conflitos vivenciados pelos homoafetivos e as aberturas que estão surgindo dentro de algumas igrejas. A pesquisa justifica-se por ampliar o debate dessa temática social, procurando entender as causas dos conflitos vividos pelos homoafetivos entre sua orientação sexual e religião, com vistas a acrescentar dados e informações aos homoafetivos, pesquisadores e professores interessados ao tema. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo, no mês de setembro de 2016, em uma faculdade particular na cidade de Montes Claros – Minas Gerais; contou com 08 participantes, acadêmicos homoafetivos de quatro cursos superiores. Com a realização deste estudo, pôde-se perceber que há dificuldade de conciliação entre homoafetividade e religião, principalmente pelo preconceito e discriminação existentes dentro das igrejas que os entrevistados já frequentaram.

The article addresses the current problematic, about a topic not very discussed in the academic environment. In view of the reality of the relationship between homoafetives and religions, this research seeks to analyze the relationship between homoafetivity and religion in the context of cultural diversity through the perception of homoafetives. This study aims to answer the question: Homoafetividade and religion: is it possible to reconcile? Demonstrate the main conflicts experienced by homosexuals and the openings that are emerging within some Churches. The research is justified by expanding the debate on this social theme, trying to understand the causes of homosexual conflicts between their sexual orientation and religion, with a view to adding data and information to homoafetives, researchers and teachers interested in the subject. In order to reach the proposed objective, a field research was carried out, in September 2016, in a private college in the city of Montes Claros - Minas Gerais; Counted on 08 participants, academic homoafetivos of four courses superiors. With the accomplishment of this study, it is possible to perceive that there is difficulty in conciliation between homoafetividade and religion, mainly by the prejudice and discrimination existing within the churches that the interviewees already attended
