Este estudo teórico tem como objetivo apresentar os conceitos que envolvem o atendimento psicológico em grupo. Apresentará também uma análise crítica de dois grupos terapêuticos que atendem mulheres portadoras de transtornos mentais. Os grupos analisados ocorreram em um CAPS na localidade de Bela Vista do Paraíso – Pr. As características de organização dos grupos observados não correspondiam aos critérios da literatura, sendo o tempo de grupo insuficiente para intervenções e o número de participantes estava além do recomendado. As conclusões mostram que a realização de grupos terapêuticos em instituições de saúde envolve ou atender muita demanda com pouca eficiência, o que compromete as intervenções, ou atender pouca demanda com muita eficiência, o que compromete o acesso da população local ao acesso ao serviço de saúde mental da região. Por fim, o estudo sugere alternativas para aproximar a prática da terapia de grupo em instituições de saúde aos conceitos teóricos desta modalidade.
This theoretical study aims to present the concepts involved in group psychological care. It will also present a critical analysis of two therapeutic groups that serve women with mental disorders. The groups analyzed took place in a CAPS in the locality of Bela Vista do Paraíso - Pr. The organizational characteristics of the observed groups did not correspond to the criteria of the literature, with the group time being insufficient for interventions and the number of participants being higher than recommended. The conclusions show that the implementation of therapeutic groups in health institutions involves either meeting a lot of demand with little efficiency, which compromises the interventions, or meeting a little demand with great efficiency, which compromises the access of the local population to the mental health service in the region. Finally, the study suggests alternatives to bring the practice of group therapy in health institutions closer to the theoretical concepts of this modality.
