A EXPANSÃO DO PROTESTANTISMO NO BRASIL: REFLEXOS NO SISTEMA EDUCACIONAL BRASILEIRO

O presente estudo tem objetivo analisar por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica como se deu a expansão do protestantismo no Brasil, identificando os reflexos de ordem epistemológico, ideológico e metodológico, no sistema educacional brasileiro, com o advento do Período Republicano. Outrossim, essa pesquisa pretende contribuir para o entendimento historiográfico dos aspectos fundantes da educação brasileira concernente aos influxos do Protestantismo, pouco explorados na literatura. Para compreensão desse fenômeno, foram estudados os expoentes do assunto em questão, a saber: Mendonça e Velasques (2002), Reis (2007); Nascimento (2004), Garrido (2005), Schulz(2002), Massotti (2007), dentre outros. Os resultados deste estudo apontam que a inserção do Protestantismo na educação brasileira, percorreu uma longa trajetória, e mesmo com tantos anos de altos e baixos, se fez presente com sua concepção protestante ideológica, metodológica e epistemológica, no campo educacional.

This study is aimed at to analise through literature how was the expansion of Protestantism in Brazil, identifying the reflections of epistemological and ideological and methodological order, the Brazilian educational system, with the advent of the republican period. Furthermore, this research aims to contribute to the historiographical understanding of the foundational aspects of Brazilian education concerning the promptings of Protestantism, little explored in the literature. To understand this phenomenon, the subject of the exponents were studied in question, namely: Mendonça and Velasques (2002), Kings (2007), Birth (2004), Garrido (2005), Schulz (2002), Massotti (2007), among others. The results of this study indicate that the inclusion of Protestantism in the Brazilian education has come a long way, and even with so many years of ups and downs was present with its ideological Protestant conception, methodological and epistemological, in the educational field.
