O ato de ler um texto é apenas uma parte de um ato complexo que avança da motivação para o ato à leitura. Tal não se encerra nessa, já que em sentido amplo implica o registro - tanto mental quanto escrito, do que se leu e, mais ainda, o entendimento daquilo que o autor planejou nos comunicar. Nesse sentido, a compreensão do processo pode auxiliar o ato quanto ao desenvolvimento de habilidades de leitura e compreensão. Assim objetivou-se apresentar o processo de leitura como um ato, que para além da motivação deve contemplar a técnica. Para tal, resgatou-se na literatura, por conveniência, produções técnicas sobre como deve ser realizada a leitura. Como resultados, verifica-se que há várias maneiras de fazer a aproximação com o texto, e que cada uma delas atinge a determinado fim.

The act of reading a text is just a part of a complex act moving from motivation to act to reading. This does not end with this, since in a broad sense it implies the recording - both mental and written, of what has been read and, still more, the understanding of what the author has planned to communicate to us. In this sense, the understanding of the process can aid the act in the development of reading and comprehension skills. Thus, the aim was to present the reading process as an act, which, beyond the motivation, must contemplate the technique. To this end, technical literature has been retrieved in the literature for convenience on how to read. As a result, it turns out that there are several ways of getting closer to the text, and that each of them reaches the certain end.
