A EDUCAÇÃO ESTATÍSTICA COMO FERRAMENTA MATEMÁTICA PARA O ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Este artigo tem por objetivo verificar se a Estatística está sendo abordada pelos livros didáticos do
nono ano do ensino fundamental adotados pelas escolas municipais de Pouso Alegre – MG. Para tanto, esta pesquisa foi fundamentada nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais que preveem a necessidade da inserção desse conteúdo no currículo, devido à alta demanda social e à falta de profissionais que tenham conhecimento nesta área. Como metodologia, foi priorizada a pesquisa bibliográfica através da análise dos livros didáticos, tendo como foco a inserção dos temas estatísticos. Pode-se, por meio dessa pesquisa, afirmar que todas as coleções pesquisadas apresentam em seu conteúdo de nono ano os temas relacionados, embora varie de coleção para coleção a maneira como cada tema é abordado. Foram encontrados também exercícios contextualizados apresentando situações do cotidiano, como forma de despertar o interesse do aluno no aprendizado. Assim, os resultados demonstram a preocupação dos autores em atualizar os temas de maior relevância no ensino fundamental, que é a base para a futura
vida acadêmica do aluno. Verifica-se, portanto, que os livros utilizados estão de acordo com os PCN na abordagem do tema desta pesquisa.

This article aims to check if Statistics is being addressed by textbooks from the elementary school –
ninth year, adopted by public schools in Pouso Alegre - MG. Therefore, we have considered in this research the National Curriculum Parameters that predict the need to insert this content in the curriculum, due to high demand and lack of social professionals who have knowledge in this area. The study was conducted by raising the literature used by schools, making sure that the textbooks presented in its content subjects related to Statistics. As a methodology, it was prioritized through the literature search analysis of textbooks, focusing on the insertion of the statistical themes. We can say that all researched collections have shown in its contents, although they vary from collection to
collection, the year in which the subject is approached. We have found many contextualized exercises presenting everyday situations as a way to awaken the student interest in learning. Our results have demonstrated the authors'concern in being updated with the most relevant topics in the elementary school, which is the basis for the future academic life of the student. It is apparent, therefore, that the books are used in accordance with the PCN approach of the subject of this research.
