A proposta do artigo é a de refletir sobre a figura da Cobra Grande, no contexto marajoara, a partir dos relatos de dois narradores locais. As narrativas envolvem uma série de episódios que giram em torno da presença do encantado na área insular do município de Curralinho (PA). Nelas a figura do feminino é de grande relevância nas situações que se sucedem, tratando de temas como doença e cura, relações familiares cotidianas, bem como de tensões entre humanos e o encantado naquele contexto.
The purpose of this article is to reflect about to figure of the Great Snake, in the marajoara context, from two local narrators reports . The stories involve a number of episodes that revolve around the enchanted presence in the insular area of the municipality of Curralinho ( PA ) . In them the female figure is of great importance in situations that follow , dealing with topics such as disease and healing, everyday family relationships , as well as tensions between human and delighted in that context.
