Considering the context in which Plutarch, a Greek moralist, lived in, we intend to analyze the biographical construction of the Alexander character. The historian, thus defines the historian Maria Aparecida Silva, as a member of the second sophistic movement that had the intention to spread the Greek culture in the Roman Empire, with the condition of the subjugated, Alexander will build on the principles that he thought worthy for a Greek, for example, the fact that they have a wilding and restrained posture. Thus, he also points out similarities between Alexander and Achilles and indicates a possible relationship between them. Therefore, it is apparent the great influence of the Iliad, a classical education in Greek, will be in the works of Plutarch.
