A pesquisa “CORPO, ARTEFATO E MOVIMENTO: técnicas corporais na arte de tecer e traçar entre os Tenetehar” é uma análise dos movimentos do tecer e trançado entre os povos Guajajara/Tenetehar localizados na Terra Indígena Arariboia, no estado do Maranhão. O objetivo da pesquisa foi catalogar artefatos tecidos com fio e trançados com fibras e ainda observar as técnicas corporais utilizadas durante a produção de tais artefatospara a construção de uma performance de dança contemporânea. Nesta pesquisa etnográfica foi possível identificar entre os Tenetehar artefatos tanto tecido com fios como trançados por fibras de babaçu. A partir disso, foi feita a catalogação das técnicas corporais envolvidas no tecer e trançar e como processo final da pesquisa foi construída uma performance de dança contemporânea a partir da tessitura dasredes de dormir.A performance de dança contemporânea propiciou aos estudantes dançarem os movimentos corporais catalogados entre os Tenetehar percebendo as diferenciações transculturais existentes.

The research "BODY, ARTIFACT AND MOVEMENT: body techniques in the art of weaving and tracing among the Tenetehar" is an analysis of the movements of weave and braided among the Guajajara/Tenetehar peoples located in the Arariboia Indigenous Land, in the state of Maranhão. The objective ofthe research was to catalog artifacts woven with wire and braided with fibers and also to observe the body techniques used during the production of such artifacts for the construction of a contemporary dance performance. In this etnográfico research it was possible to identify between the Tenetehar artifacts both woven with yarn and braided by babassu fibers. From this, the cataloguing of body techniques involved in weaving and braiding artifacts was made and as the final process of the research a contemporary dance performance was constructed from the tessitura of the sleeping hammocks.The contemporary dance performance allowed students to dance the body movements cataloged among the Tenetehar realizing the existing cross-cultural diferences.
