A proposta deste artigo é analisar a construção do ethos na carta de suicídio do ex-presidente Getúlio Vargas, as marcas linguísticas do sujeito, as condições de produção em que se desenvolve a ação discursiva que justifique a ação do presidente e a construção de sua imagem como líder e mártir. Propõe-se ainda, verificar o implícito conotado pelo enunciado, e a junção entre o mesmo e o enunciador.
Resumo Inglês:
The purpose of this article is to analyze the building of Ethos in the Suicide letter of former President Getúlio Vargas, the linguistics traces of the subject , the production conditions which develop the discussion action that justify the President’s action and the building of his image as leader and martir. Proposing still, to check the conceal showed by the statement and the joined between himself and the announcer.
