O diálogo entre a literatura brasileira e a caboverdiana não se esgota nas décadas de 30 e 40. Este pode ser observado até a atualidade e com extensão para outras regiões brasileiras, além do Nordeste. A partir desta reflexão, este estudo tem como objetivo investigar, dentro do macrossistema literário de lÃngua portuguesa e no âmbito das relações literárias contemporâneas entre Brasil e Cabo Verde, as tensões das personagens a partir da casa nos romances Os dois irmãos, de Germano Almeida, e Dois irmãos, de Milton Hatoum. Nessas obras, a casa, distante de sua função de aconchego, em vez de ser uma das maiores (forças) de integração (BACHELARD, 2000, p.26), transforma-se num ambiente hostil, que impõe o conflito fraterno que se estende aos espaços em seu entorno.

The dialogue between Brazilian and Cape Verdean literatures does not end up in the 1930s and 1940s. It can be observed until nowadays and with extension to other Brazilian regions beyond north-east. Based on this reflection, this study aims at investigating the tension of the characters from the house in the the novels Os dois irmãos, by Germano Almeida and Dois irmãos, by Milton Hatoum, inside the literary macro system of Portuguese language and in the scope of contemporary literary relations between Brazil and Cape Verde. In these works, far from its function of shelter and instead of being one of the greater (strengths) of integration (Bachelard, 2000, p. 26), the house changes into a hostile environment which imposes the fraternal conflict that reaches the surrounding spaces.
