A falta de administração nas obras públicas fomenta uma sangria de recursos públicos que expandi para a sociedade, gerando uma crise política, econômica e social. Tendo seu princípio legal na Lei 8.666/93, que institui normas para estabelecer a obrigatoriedade para licitações com inclusão do sistema BIM – Building Information Model (Modelagem da Informação da Construção ou Modelo da Informação da Construção) que delibera a melhoria nos processos e gestão de projetos em obras públicas que fundamenta o desenvolvimento do Brasil. Contudo, o objetivo é descrever o processo de implantação do processo de licitação a partir da plataforma BIM e citar sua importância em relação ao método convencional das licitações públicas. O método de pesquisa utilizado constituiu por um estudo de caso com identificação dos métodos de implantação do BIM em licitações de obras públicas estabelecendo ligações entre as instâncias sociais, econômicas, legais e um estudo comparativo entre pesquisas bibliográficas baseadas em publicações cientificas, artigos, leis específicas, jurisprudência, doutrinas renomadas de autores referenciais e a própria Constituição da República Federativa Brasileira (CRFB) e um estudo de caso. Com os resultados destacam-se obstáculos que o sistema possui uma falha de processo, mas que são superados, diante da difusão de informações e comunicação entre os servidores que direcionam os profissionais a utilizarem a plataforma com restrição legal quando da análise do objeto e escolha de critérios sustentáveis.

Does the lack of administration in public works foster a drain of public resources that has expanded into society, generating a political, economic and social crisis Having its legal principle in Law 8.666/93, which establishes rules to establish the obligation for biddings with the inclusion of the BIM (Building Information Model) system that deliberates the improvement in the processes and management of projects that underpin the development of Brazil. However, the objective is to describe the process of implementation of the bidding process from the BIM platform and to cite its importance in relation to the conventional method of public bidding. The research method used consisted of a case study with identification of the methods of implementation of BIM in public works biddings establishing links between social, economic and legal instances and a comparative study between bibliographic researches based on scientific publications, articles, specific laws, jurisprudence, renowned doctrines of referential authors and the Constitution of the Brazilian Federative Republic (CRFB) and a case study. The results point out obstacles that the system has a process failure, but which are overcome, given the diffusion of information and communication between the servers that direct the professionals to use the platform with legal restriction when analyzing the object and choosing criteria.
