Este estudo procurou compreender a organização e atuação do movimento estudantil nas universidades públicas do Paraná no período do regime militar, procurando contextualizar o período e o surgimento dos movimentos sociais. Tem ainda como objetivo entender o surgimento do movimento estudantil nas universidades públicas e as diferentes fases de atuação e levantar informações a respeito da sua atuação. A escolha da periodização se deu pelo interesse em compreender o contexto e sua influência e resistência da organização estudantil. Essa pesquisa, de cunho qualitativa, baseou-se em fontes bibliográficas e também fontes primárias, tais como legislações, atas, relatórios de governo e jornais. Dentre os resultados pode-se afirmar que o movimento estudantil, nas universidades paranaense, dividia-se em centros acadêmicos e também na própria UPE, que era uma ramificação criada a partir da UNE.

This study sought to understand the organization and performance of the student movement in the public universities of Paraná during the military regime, seeking to contextualize the period and the emergence of social movements. It also aims to understand the emergence of the student movement in public universities and the different stages of action and to gather information about their performance. The choice of periodization was due to the interest in understanding the context and its influence and resistance of the student organization. This qualitative research was based on bibliographic sources as well as primary sources such as legislation, minutes, government reports, and newspapers. Among the results it can be stated that the student movement, in the universities of Paraná, was divided into academic centers and also in the UPE itself, which was a branch created from the UNE.
