A partir das discussões e pesquisas dos grupos de pesquisa “Literatura e história: memória e representação” e “Preservação dos bens culturais: história, memória, identidade e educação patrimonial”, observamos a desvalorização da arte enquanto processo histórico e memorialístico da região que a Universidade Estadual do Norte do Paraná - UENP abrange bem como a falta de estudos na área de Cultura e Artes. Diante disso, propomos, em parceria com a Prefeitura da cidade, o Serviço Social do Comércio - SESC e o Conjunto Amadores de Teatro - CAT, o projeto de extensão “Salão de Artes Plásticas de Jacarezinho: diálogos entre memória, arte, preservação e ensino”, que teve por objetivo a conservação, documentação e fruição cultural das obras que compõem o acervo do Salão de Artes Plásticas da cidade de Jacarezinho/PR, bem como a criação da Sala de Estar, espaço no ambiente acadêmico para observação e pesquisa em arte, história e cultura regional. Neste sentido, o presente artigo busca apresentar o desenvolvimento do projeto, suas dificuldades e realizações na busca de contribuir para a preservação e o desenvolvimento do fazer artístico na região.

From the discussions and researches of the research groups “Literature and History: Memory and Representation” and “Preservation of cultural goods: history, memory, identity and patrimonial education”, we observe the devaluation of art as a historical and memorialistic process of the region that Universidade Estadual do Norte do Paraná - UENP covers as well as the lack of studies in the area of Culture and Arts. In view of this, we propose, in partnership with the City Hall, the Social Service of Commerce - SESC and the Amateur Group of Theater - CAT, the extension project “Salão de Artes Plásticas de Jacarezinho: dialogues between memory, art, preservation and teaching “, Which had as its objective the preservation, documentation and cultural enjoyment of the works that compose the collection of the Salão de Artes Plásticas of the city of Jacarezinho/PR, as well as the creation of the Living Room, space in the academic environment for observation and research in art , regional history and culture. In this sense, the present article seeks to present the development of the project, its difficulties and achievements in the search to contribute to the preservation and development of the artistic work in the region.
