O presente artigo tem o objetivo de explicitar a relação entre arte e
polÃtica no contexto do marxismo a partir das observações de Leon Trotski e Antonio
Gramsci a respeito do futurismo. Este foi um movimento artÃstico que tomou grande
impulso na Rússia e na Itália, onde desembocou no fascismo. Para acentuar as
relações entre arte e polÃtica, esclarecemos o contexto histórico no qual atuaram os
dois grandes revolucionários.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the relationship between art
and politics in the context of Marxism based on observations of Leon Trotsky and
Antonio Gramsci's concerns on futurism. This was an artistic movement that had
great prominence in Russia and Italy, which culminated in fascism. To enhance the
relationship between art and politics we clarify the historical context in which these
both great revolutionaries have acted.
