De acordo ao estatuto da carreira docente do ensino superior, são tarefas do corpo docente, além da prestação do serviço docente, o desenvolvimento de trabalhos de investigação científica e de extensão universitária, entre outras. Uma das grandes preocupações das Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) em Angola é a conciliação destas actividades na classe docente, facto que se repercute na fraca produção científica das IES. O presente estudo tem como objectivo a elaboração e implementação de uma estratégia d e actuação da direcção da Escola Superior Pedagógica do Namibe- ESPdN, visando a realização de actividades de investigação científica e de extensão universitária, por parte dos docentes. Durante o estudo se elabora um diagnóstico do estado da investigação científica e da extensão universitária em relação aos docentes da ESPdN e sobre essa base se desenha uma estratégia que envolve os docentes em tarefas de investigação científica e de extensão universitária, para o desenvolvimento profissional da classe docente. Se trabalha no estudo com todos 52 docentes da ESPdN em tempo integral, dos quais cinco são efectivos, vinte cinco são expatriados e vinte e dois são contratados por destacamento. Pretende - se alcançar um equilíbrio entre as actividades docentes, de investigação científica e de extensão universitária desenvolvidas pelos docentes da ESPdN, por formas a elevar os níveis de desempenho dos docentes e da instituição

Of agreement to the statute of the educational career of the higher education, they are tasks of the faculty, besides the instalment of the educational service, the development of works of scientific investigation and of academical extension, among others. One of the great concerns of the Institutions of Higher education - IES in Angola, is the conciliation of these activities in the educational class, factor that is echoed in the weak scientific production of IES. The present study has as its objective the elaboration and implementation of a strategy of acting of the director of the Pedagogic Superior School of Namibe -ESPdN, seeking the accomplishment of activities of scientific investigation and of academicals extension, on the part of the teachers. During the study a diagnosis of the state of the scientific investigation is elaborated and of the academicals extension in relation to the teachers of ESPdN and on that base a strategy is drawn that involves the teachers in tasks of scientific investigation and of academicals extension, for the professional development of the educational class. The study works with all 52 teachers of ESPdN in integral time from which 5 are full time teachers , 25 are expatriated and 22 are contracted for military detachment. This work intends to reach a balance among the educational activities, of scientific investigation and of academicals extension develo ped by the teachers of ESPdN, in order to increase the levels of the teachers' acting and in the institution.
