Ao aproximar as duas culturas e sociedades por meio de leituras sobre Poesia, este estudo promove a continuidade da investigação sobre identidades no mundo contemporâneo e em comparação. Ademais, o estudo da escrita nos espaços das fronteiras (nacionais) e na fronteira dos espaços (de gêneros literários e sexuais) encontra eco na proposta feminista da reescrita poética irlandesa, tanto da maneira como a pensou Eavan Boland ao formular a “retórica do imaginário” enquanto uma inevitável fusão entre o nacional e o feminino, presente na sua identidade de mulher poeta e que gerou uma nova onda de poetas mulheres, quanto na proposta de recontar a história de Portugal através das vozes femininas, in-scritas na materialidade dos corpos que se apresentam nas Novas Cartas Portuguesas. Pensar as identidades femininas e a Poesia leva-nos à questão da marginalidade, pela dupla condição presente em ambas: a desigualdade social, que tem por base a diferença de gênero e o fato da Poesia ser um gênero menor, aos olhos dos leitores-compradores, ou seja, na realidade das vendas editoriais. Portanto, o texto que aqui se apresenta pondera criticamente as aproximações fronteiriças e espaciais propostas no que têm de convergências e divergências, para uma compreensão da figura plural da Mulher.

While paralleling two cultures and societies by means of readings about Poetry, this study promotes the continuity of the investigation about identities in the contemporary world and in comparison. Moreover, the study of writing in fronterial (national) spaces and in the frontier of (literary and sexual) spaces finds echo in the feminist proposal of the Irish poetic rewriting, as thought by Eavan Boland in her formulation of the “rhetoric of imagery” as an inevitable fusion between the national and the feminine, present in her identity of woman poet, which brought up a new generation of women poets. It is also found in the motion to retell the history of Portugal through feminine voices, in-scribed in the materiality of bodies that are depicted in the Three Marias: New Portuguese Letters. Reflecting upon feminine identities and Poetry leads us to the matter of marginality, for its double condition: the social unequality, whose basis is gender difference and the fact that Poetry is a minor genre to the eyes of the reading public, that is, to the reality of the sales marketing. Therefore, this text critically ponders the fronterial and spatial approximations in what they have of convergences and divergences for an understanding of the plural figure of the Woman.
