O artigo apresenta a pesquisa “Gestos que falam: Diálogos entre Teatro e Educação”, abordando a linguagem teatral com surdos, realizada pelo Grupo de Pesquisa Teatral Signatores. Os objetivos são instrumentalizar os participantes surdos na linguagem teatral, formar o professor/pesquisador na área teatral, investigar as possibilidades de criação teatral com surdos, valorizar, difundir as formas de expressão cultural e ampliar a comunicação entre surdos e ouvintes. Utilizamos como base para o trabalho empírico os autores Augusto Boal (1991) e Jean-Pierre Ryngaert (2009).
The article presents the research "Gestures that Speak: Dialogues between Theatre and Education," by addressing theatrical language with deaf people, conducted by the Theatre Research Group Signatores. The goals are to empower the deaf participants in theatrical language, form the teacher/researcher in the theater field, investigate the possibilities of theatrical creation with deaf people, enhance, disseminate cultural forms of expression, and expand communication between deaf and hearing people. The base for the empirical work are the authors Augusto Boal (1991) and Jean-Pierre Ryngaert (2009).
