Este trabalho objetivou fornecer elementos teóricos e técnicos para a criação de uma trilha ecológica interpretativa em uma área sob a administração do Colégio João Paulo II. O local de estudos está situado no município de São Francisco de Itabapoana, em um fragmento de restinga, onde existe grande interesse de preservação. Foram sugeridos elementos socioculturais locais para gerar atratividade e conhecimento histórico. Também houve orientação para a restauração florística nativa no intuito de promover a Educação Ambiental.
This study aimed to provide theoretical foundations for the creation of an interpretive ecological trail in an area managed by Colégio João Paulo II. The study site is located in the municipality of São Francisco de Itabapoana in a fragment of sandbank, where preservation if of great interest. Historical, social and cultural elements of the site were suggested to generate attractiveness and historical knowledge. Likewise, there was orientation to restore native flora in order to promote environmental education.
