As festas constituem traço marcante da cultura brasileira, mas ainda recebem pouca atenção dos pesquisadores em Administração e Empreendedorismo. As festas representam a quintessência da economia cultural e constituem exemplos típicos das áreas de organização e empreendedorismo que tratam de temáticas associadas às artes, empreendimentos culturais e diversão. Isso contempla a combinação de múltiplos interesses formativos e informativos atrelados à Administração e ao Empreendedorismo. No entanto, nosso conhecimento ainda é limitado com respeito a reflexões referentes ao empreendedorismo cultural que se pratica nas festas. Essa seção temática reúne um conjunto de artigos que contribuem para que o conhecimento sobre a relação entre festa, cultura e empreendedorismo cultural seja persuasivo e estimulante. Com isso, novos horizontes de pesquisa são propostos e discutidos.

Festivities are a striking feature of Brazilian culture, but have received little attention by scholars from Management and Entrepreneurship Research. Festivities also represent the quintessence of the cultural economy and are typical examples of the areasof organization and entrepreneurship that deal with themes associated with arts, cultural endeavors and entertainment. Thus, itincludes the combination of multiple formative and informative interests associated with management and entrepreneurship research. However, our knowledge remains limited onthe practice of cultural entrepreneurship within festivities. This thematic section brings together a set of articles that contributesto make the knowledge about the relationship between festivity, culture andcultural entrepreneurship,cogentand stimulating. Thus, new research paths are proposed and discussed.
