Este artigo pretende estabelecer uma comparação entre dois textos clássicos da filosofia da história, a saber, A Razão na História, de Hegel, e Segunda consideração intempestiva, de Nietzsche. Nesta comparação, pretender-se-á mostrar que algumas críticas de Nietzsche a uma visão hegeliana da história dependiam de elementos já presentes no próprio pensamento hegeliano. Não se trata de estabelecer uma identidade absoluta entre os dois autores, mas sim de, pelo método comparativo, mostrar que a visão teleológica da história pode educar o homem para a vida e para a ação.
In this paper two classics in the philosophy of history (Hegel’s “Reason in History” and Nietzsche’s “Utility and disadvantage of history for life”) are compared. Through the comparison, it is our aim to point out that many of the elements of the nietzschean critique towards the hegelian teleological philosophy of history can already be found at the very core of Hegel’s thought. Considering that a more fresh reading of Hegel’s classical text is possible and fruitful, the comparison is not supposed to establish an absolute identity among the authors, but just to show that the teleological vison of history surely can educate the human being to life and action.
