Este artigo tem o objetivo de propor uma reflexão teórica sobre cidadania, pois diante da indefinição do próprio termo, é importante considerar uma abrangência que não reforce a imprecisão e, ao mesmo tempo, não restrinja demais para não simplificar a questão. O texto também procura estabelecer a relação entre a definição de cidadania e conceitos satélites de sociedade civil e esfera pública, e ainda tem o intuito de apontar de que forma a comunicação pode contribuir para a construção e o fortalecimento da cidadania.
This article aims to propose a theoretical reflection on citizenship, because given the lack of definition of the term itself, it is important to consider a comprehensiveness that does not reinforce inaccuracy and, at the same time, not too restrictive not to simplify the issue. The text also seeks to establish the relationship between the definition of citizenship and satellite concepts of civil society and the public sphere, and also aims to point out how communication can contribute to the construction and strengthening of citizenship.
